Carol's sketch

Carol made a great sketch over at the Pink elephant for the challenge this week. I adore sketches that are not overloaded with shapes and figures and Carol's is perfect. I thought about combining it with the Spot the Dot challenge at Magnolia down under this week but today I don't fancy the Magnolia stamps - I probably will tomorrow :) so I skipped the dots and went for a combination of pink and red instead (it's THE thing in fashion right now my daughter keeps reminding me so it has to be right)

Only one day left at work now, then it's Walpurgis holiday which is sweet in itself. AND Saturday-Sunday I'll be on the first large scrap event in Umea, yey!

CC 3

Finished a card before going to work this morning - having my first class after lunch on Mondays is a blessing :)
This card is in yellow and turquoise so it fits the challenge at Colour challenge. It's a cute colour combo, not one I would have come up with myself... challenges are great!

My life is a Hitchcock movie

Got up hours before the family this morning - mainly due to a hysterical bird sitting in the neighbour's tree screaming its little heart out, for company I assume...
I was not an animal lover this morning I assure you! But the craft room has a very positive influence on me - which is good for the lovesick wildlife - and I definitely calmed down and managed to kill two birds with one stone (pun totally intended) as one card fits both the Penny Black challenge and the Papertake weekly and I made a gable box for the Secret crafter Saturday challenge where the theme is shaped cards, and the box also perfectly fits the Our Creative Corner challenge to use ones favourite colours and I absolutely adore creme and pink.

Would that actually be four birds? ;)

Magnolia 2

This is my contribution to this week's challenge on Just Magnolia. The criteria is pink and green and I'm not really happy with the card cause the camera shows colours it made up itself - that's artificial intelligence for you. But that's life, can't wind myself up over a picture, it's Friday!!

Confusing names

it might be the fever raging but I've become annoyed with the duality of the names here on the blog. Pysselfröken is a very Swedish name - not available as a blog name btw - and without the Ö the word makes absolutely no sense whatsoever, well in English it's just gibberish anyway, hence the chosen nick of Mummylade for blog name. But all comments and such in the blogworld are signed Pysselfröken...
Enough I say! Since I write all posts in English anyway (since I'm too lazy to write everything twice) I might as well have a nick that people understand, therefor I've changed nickname and mailaddress and all, so if I've messed up in any way, shape or form and can't ever log back in to the blog again you'll know why.

Signing off for a hot cup of tea now, fingers crossed that Blogger doesn't go bonkers on my next login attempt, and yes, I will change the header ... soon... ;)

Gable box

My oncoming cold is making my head numb and my neck and back hurts and my nose is so stuffed I can hardly breathe - stay home from work? Wouldn't dream of it, Tuesday is my day with my ninth-graders and I just can't be without it.

And to keep from crafting I would most likely have to be dead and I'm not - it's just a cold and since I'm female I will survive it ;)

So... for today I have a gable box with one of Dustin's gorgeous dragons on. It's also my contribution to this weeks challenge at Creative Card Crew.

A spring card

Love my newly purchased stamps! I know it's "old" but it's new to me ;)
I made a card to fit both the Friday sketch and the April challenge at Nettan's. I made this card rather simple and didn't use a single flower...gasp...

I thought these stamps would be tricky to colour due to all the details but it's really fun so now I can't wait for the Elisabeth Bell summer collection that I have preordered.

Magnolia challenge

Finally the Magnolia challenge arrived and I have waited exitedly for it. It was a great sketch to follow and I enjoyed making the card. My chestnut roan chalk is in horrible condition right now though and desperately needs a replacement so the choice of green is partly to be able to chalk with moss green ;)

Black and white

This card actually works for two challenges, both for the Monochrome Madness at Creative Card Crew and for the "to die for"-challenge at A Spoon Full of Sugar. It's far from the overly supercute themes I normally do but I just love the little demon. The background paper is the image of black denim and I put shimmering silver on the roses but that's hard to tell in the picture, I know.

Holiday crafting

Had a bit of extra time on my hands since I'm on Easter Holiday so I managed a waterfall card and an altered tin can for sugarcubes. I also made a card for a challenge but since it couldn't contain any bought decorations and I can't live without the roses I had to add them after mailing the card

.

Skaparlusten challenge

This is my contribution to Skaparlustens challenge where you can't use bought decorations. No ribbons, no flowers, no bling unless you've made them yourself.

Spring card

This month's challenge at Nettans is to make a card or layout with a spring feeling and this is my contribution.

I distressed the background papers with Shabby shutters and Broken china, tulip stamp is from Bildmålarna and charm from Pearlized. The stamped letters are from a really old stamp set that was used at post offices way, way, way back in the old days ;).

Pretty boxes

E-A-S-T-E-R spells CANDY and the sugar rush will start right about now and last for about a week. Instead of just stuffing my offspring with sugar in various forms I wanted to add a necklace in each of the Easter eggs for my daughters but they will of course need to be charmingly gift wrapped - well the necklaces, not the daughters...
so I decided to make a small gift box with a paper band round - a belly band. They turned out rather neat and they are so easy to make. Just need to measure the item's height, length and width and use those measurements.

Stampartic skiss

Gjorde ett kort utifrån skissen Stampartic har nu. Använde mycket distresser för att få till färgsättningen, milled lavender kan tyckas lite blek men här fungerade den alldeles utmärkt, speciellt runt de vita motivkanterna.

pop up

whilst waiting for my elder daughter to have time to lay a make-up on me and make me fabulously 10 years younger (with massive help of the magic I.d. bare minerals foundation) I made a pop up card with my new Magnolia stamp and the latest stack of paper that arrived in my mailbox yesterday (it's DCWV stack 5).
We're going to a party with all (well not all but at least most) Englishmen in town tonight for a three course beer evening, gonna be super.

Easter baskets

Me and the little one made baskets this afternoon. She will bring them - with candy in - to her Show-and-Tell at school tomorrow.
Very cute and so easy to make.

Jag och lilla fröken gjorde korgar i eftermiddags. Hon ska ta med dem - med lite påskgodis i - till skolan imorgon när hon har veckans uppdrag.

A million thanks to Dustin Pike for the gorgeous dragon.

april, april

Since it's April fool's Day today my elder daughter took the chance and tricked me big time today, I'm now considering letting her up for adoption...

Finished a card today since it's my afternoon with A and she appreciates her friends more than the company of mummy dearest =). This one is for MY mum - who is highly appreciated by her loving daughter - on her upcoming birthday in May. The pink paper is from Nettans, sprayed with Glimmer mist gold and the inlay paper is plain white paper coloured with distress ink (tattered rose and aged mahogany), same as the retro punch flowers on the front.
